My first memories of wanting to "help people" go back to when I was 7 years old. At that time the most recognised profession for helping people meant becoming a doctor of some sort and I would marvel everytime I was in some hospital or medical room. Although the desire to help was very strong I could never shake the fact that I would not enjoy working with disease, illness and people in pain.
My studies led me to the wonderful world of human sciences which advanced my interest of people beyond the clinical context. I successfully completed my BA Degree and BA Honours degree (Cum Laude) at the University of Pretoria in 1997 and achieved my profession as a Sociologist. Sociology is a fantastic subject for teaching one tolerance and open-mindedness about the makeup and dynamics of society. I am currently in pursuit of my Masters degree in Social Research.
My journey into the working world was an exciting ride albeit turbulent which made me the wiser. From this I had learnt that amazing opportunities exist everywhere and that anything is possible all that one is required to do is to go forth even when you think you cannot. Being appointed in position of Director (first female and youngest) allowed me to experience firsthand the enormous potential and capability that lies in each one of us.
My training and certification in coaching has opened the doors to yet another exciting path, one which allows me to feel peace and harmony on the one hand and yet bubble with excitement and enthusiasm knowing that each and every person can become their best self.
My coaching style is an interesting mix of best friend, captivated listener, lecturer, motivator, evaluator and even executioner (only of blockages). I am continuously amazed by the transformation and energy that resonates from my clients as they more confidently take charge of their lives with each step. I would love to be your coach when you yourself know that it is time for your best self. An amazing tomorrow....
