COMENSA's role has been to encourage collaboration amongst buyers, providers and trainers of coaches, to promulgate best practice trends, and to provide a forum where coaches and mentors work, share ideas and values, and develop a sense of community at local, national and international level.

COMENSA's members include practitioner coaches and mentors, the training companies and academic institutes developing programmes to train coaches and mentors, and the organisational buyers of coaching and mentoring services.

By working inclusively, the members of COMENSA have helped create a profession that supports professional practice and a learning culture, with a vision to empower people to achieve their full potential.
